Benzing and McGhee are Rita and Rhoda in Broadway Palm’s ‘White Christmas’
On the main stage at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre through Christmas Day is Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, and playing the parts of the Oxydol girls, Rita and Rhonda, are Kiersten Benzing and Morgan McGhee.
Kiersten Benzing was last seen at Broadway Palm in Evita. Some of her favorite past roles include Cassandra in CATS, Lou Ann in Hairspray, Sponge in James and the Giant Peach, The Music Man and Alice in the national tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Morgan McGhee currently resides in New York City, where she received her training in dance and music from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
The girls are uproariously funny as they chase after boss-man Phil Davis, but turn up McGhee’s dancing in the ensemble. She is especially powerful in Blue Skies and in the opening number, Holidays/Let Yourself Go, which takes place on stage at The Ed Sullivan Show.
