Spotlight on ‘Musical Comedy Murders’ cast member Patricia Clopton
The Musical Comedy Murders of the 1940s is coming to Lab Theater, and included in Director Carmen Crussard’s cast for this zany, madcap Whodunnit is Patricia Clopton, who played the chain-smoking, beer-guzzling town drunk Juanita in Lab’s production of the Del Shore cult classic Sordid Lives. In that role, she imparted dry-wit and homespun aphorisms with the smoothness of a Martini Riserva Ambrato Vermouth, breathing life into a character we can all aspire to emulate.
Clopton has entertained theatergoers for the past 20 years on a variety of Southwest Florida stages including Florida Repertory Theatre, Theatre Conspiracy, Laboratory Theater, Herb Strauss Theater and Cultural Park. Prior to Sordid Lives, she was in Lab’s production of Calendar Girls.
