Eren Sisk in cast of Lab’s ‘Whatever Happened to Baby Jane: A Parody of the Horror’
Opening June 16 at the Laboratory Theater of Florida is John Guzman’s Whatever Happened to Baby Jane: A Parody of the Horror. The spoof seems on track to develop its own cult following in much the same way as Rocky Horror or Evil Dead. Among the show’s talented cast is Fort Myers High incoming senior Eren Sisk. She plays two roles. She portrays young Blanche as well as Abby Bates, who lives next door to the Hudsons’ deteriorating Hollywood mansion.
Sisk is serious about her craft. This past November, she starred in Lab Theater’s production of Lauren Gunderson’s I & You. In it, Eren portrayed a critically ill high school student 
confined to her room as she awaits a life-saving organ transplant. The play marked a turning point in Eren’s young acting career. Not only was she the star, there was only one other actor in the play. That meant Eren was on stage throughout the 90-minute, no-intermission production. On top of that, her part imposed a heavy line load, deep psychological content and knotty existential themes.
Prior to I & You, Eren portrayed a beautiful, bouncy 9-year-old Victorian girl in Jennifer Haley’s The Nether who seduces visitors to a virtual world called The 
Hideaway before being killed and dismembered over and over and over again. She was also in Jekyll & Hyde and Footloose at Fort Myers High School and Les Miserable at Cultural Park Theater.
Like parents of Olympic skaters and gymnasts, Eren’s family has been supporting her thespian aspirations since third grade. “I’ve pretty much been in one show a year since then. I really have a passion for acting and theater. The more that I do it, the more passion I have for it. I want to actually be on Broadway when I’m older. I want to devote my life to this craft. It’s what really excites 
me.”
Eren is already preparing herself for a life in theater. In addition to the theater classes she takes at Fort Myers High, she works with directors Matt Koller, Aaron Jackson and others, participates in choir, orchestra and band, reads scripts for fun, and does as many shows as she can without overloading her plate. With college little more than a year away, she is setting her sights set on N.Y.U. – which is just a stone’s through from Broadway and 42nd Street.

About the Author
Tom Hall is both an amateur artist and aspiring novelist who writes art quest thrillers. He is in the final stages of completing his debut novel titled "Art Detective," a story that fictionalizes the discovery of the fabled billion-dollar Impressionist collection of Parisian art dealer Josse Bernheim-Jeune, thought by many to have perished during World War II when the collection's hiding place, Castle de Rastignac in southern France, was destroyed by the Wehrmacht in reprisal for attacks made by members of the Resistance operating in the area. A former tax attorney, Tom holds a bachelor's degree as well as both a juris doctorate and masters of laws in taxation from the University of Florida. Tom lives in Estero, Florida with his fiancee, Connie, and their four cats.
